reKnow Summarizer can summarizer and repurpose virtually any kind of written document, with a focus on PDFs, DOCs, RTF and TXT files.  You can also paste in text or point Summarizer at a web page via its URL.

Our Professional and Premium plan subscribers may also summarize and repurpose audio or video media files, such as MP3 and MP4s. Where possible we recommend using audio-only files, even when it is video content, as the smaller file size accelerates the upload process.

Whatever the format or however the content is laid out, if our AI can read and understand the document, it can summarize and repurpose it for you.

As there's different purposes for summaries, we offer different types, depending on plan. All our generations use advanced natural language AI to read and comprehend your document, and rewrite it in the desired form.

Summary transforms your original document or audio/video (for our Professional and Premium subscribers) into a condensed form, preserving its main points. This is around 1/10 the original's length. They are useful for skim reading long documents/podcasts/videos or producing an executive summary for your documents.

Plain Language Summaries rewrite your original in simpler language, helping to improve a reader's comprehension. They are useful for clarifying technical or scientific reports and other complex documents such as legal contracts. Summaries are often not as short, but simpler to understand.

Dot Point Summaries transform the original into a series of dot points attempting to capture all the main themes. This is useful for skim reading, creating a shareable set of highlight dot points or a chapter summary.

Concise Summaries are what we call a 'secondary generation'. In that they take a summary and further summarize it to the essential points. Generally these are very short - only a few paragraphs long - so don't include all the main points. They are useful for providing a synopsis or description of a long document or podcast/video.

Summarizer can repurpose your original document (or audio/video for Professional and Premium subscribers) into a variety of content formats including:

Social Posts - these are short, attention-driving content based on main points from your original. They are designed for use in Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social networks.

Article/Blogs - These are slightly longer posts, often with a catchy heading, written by our AI from a concept or theme in your original. Note they may take a different tact or approach to the original document. They can be used as additional content supporting your original's themes in a blog or other publication.

FAQs - Also known as Frequently Asked Questions, the AI will generate a series of questions and answers from your original. They can be used for FAQ sections like this one in your website, for transforming product documents into support documents, to help customer service teams or even to create pop quizes based on the original!

Scripts - To help prepare postcast or video news bites or segments, Summarizer's AI rewrites the original content into a short punchy script introducing the main points. This can also be useful for introducing the original content into a presentation or meeting in an appealing way.

reKnow Summarizer's Professional and Premium subscribers are able to upload audio and video files, to have Summarizer's AI summarize and repurpose them into our various supported content formats.

Summarizer does this by uploading the audio or video file, then allowing you to select the summarizes and repurpose formats you want, then transcribing it via AI in the background, alerting you via email when it has produced the content you've requested.

Due to the size of audio and video files, it may take some time to upload them. Also our transcription AI may take a few minutes to transcribe each hour of audio.

We make the transcription available to you for download from the Summary screen, however it is not formatted for human use, and may not be easily readable or reusable. Watch this space for further improvements of this feature.
